It is among many travel industry events to have fallen victim to the coronavirus crisis, including the world’s largest travel trade show ITB Berlin earlier this month, as well as scores of smaller scale events.
A statement from the ITM said the decision had been taken after careful consideration.
“We are looking forward to delivering the same industry-leading content across our virtual platform and to giving our members and attendees the same opportunities to explore areas of industry relevance, personal development and training throughout,” says the ITM.
“We understand this announcement represents a change in approach, but we are confident we can offer an exciting and dynamic program, consistent with the high standards of education and content for which ITM events have become synonymous over the years.”
More information on exactly how the event will take place will be issued in due course.
