Due to open on January 22nd, the latest opening, like other Moxy hotels, will reflect the locality and in this case takes inspiration from the music industry.
The Moxy Birmingham NEC will feature “stylish nods to the music industry at the heart of its interior design” according to Belvar, the management group operating the hotel.
The hotel’s newly appointed Vicky Glover says: “I’m excited to bring the Moxy brand to a city that I know so well. Travellers will discover something unique at the hotel with phenomenal high-tech features, buzzing social spaces and a real fun vibe to the communal areas and bedrooms.”
Donovan Sumner, Director of Operations at Belvar, adds: “This will be our ninth UK opening in just over three years. The NEC is a great destination, alive and buzzing with events on a daily basis.”
Marriott opened its first Moxy hotel in Milan in 2014 and now has 60 globally, with a further 20 due to open in the next 18 months.
In the UK it operates three Moxy hotels in London and one each in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, York and Southampton, with openings in Chester, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow planned for 2020.
