Marriott International is rolling out a new tool geared towards more sustainable meetings and events.
Connect Responsibly with Marriott Bonvoy Events is a programme designed to help meeting planners embed sustainability into their events at hotels across the Marriott portfolio.
It is expected to go live at managed and franchised properties from participating brands globally by the end of October.
Customers can access Meeting Impact Reports to measure the environmental impact of their events and select options to purchase carbon credits.
The reports capture event details and property-specific sustainability practices, as well as carbon and water footprints.
Marriott has also partnered with climate consultancy South Pole to offer select carbon offset projects for events. They are available via The South Pole online shop, which can be accessed through the Meeting Impact Report.
