London City names new CEO

London City Airport has named Alison FitzGerald as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Robert Sinclair.

Sinclair left the airport last year to become CEO of the HS1 rail line between St. Pancras and the Channel Tunnel, replacing Dyan Perry who retired.

FitzGerald has held the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at London City since September 2016.

Since January 2024, she served as co-CEO alongside Chief Financial Officer, Wilma Allan. She joined the airport as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in January 2014.

FitzGerald will sit on the Board of London City Airport and lead the company’s Leadership Team, which also includes Chief Financial Officer Wilma Allan, Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Hodges and Chief People Officer Michael Spiers.

London City will soon complete a major investment programme to modernise the airport’s departure lounge, with more seating, two new stylish dining experiences, duty free expansion, new retail space, more washrooms and a brand-new look and feel throughout.
