Lokulus has launched new WhatsApp functionality within its enquiry management platform, which helps travel management companies (TMCs) manage real-time traveller communication.
Rather than operating as a standalone messaging tool, WhatsApp within Lokulus transforms traveller conversations into structured, trackable and prioritised work items surfaced alongside email and phone interactions within one operational interface.
David Seed, Head of Product at Lokulus, said: “Travellers already use WhatsApp every day and increasingly expect support there too. The challenge for TMCs isn’t simply introducing another communication channel, it’s integrating it into managed travel operations in a way that maintains visibility, structure and control.”
Key capabilities include:
- Omni-channel communication management across WhatsApp, email and phone
- Automated prioritisation and routing
- Traveller context surfaced alongside conversations
- Real-time workload and SLA visibility
- Structured case management and operational tracking
The launch builds on growing demand across the travel industry for more seamless and personalised traveller servicing, particularly during disruption, urgent itinerary changes and high-touch VIP support scenarios.
To support the launch, Lokulus will also be hosting a bite-sized webinar on June 4 at 2pm to demonstrate key use cases, including disruption management, VIP traveller servicing and urgent itinerary changes.
