Final preparations are underway for this year’s Business Travel People Awards, being held virtually due to the pandemic restrictions.

The event takes place live this Friday (September 18) starting at 2.30pm. Register for free.

Now in their ninth year, the awards recognise individuals and teams across the business travel and meetings industry for their professionalism and business excellence. The shortlist of finalists for the 18 categories has been announced, including two new special categories acknowledging a company or organisation and an individual for their innovative and caring approaches during the pandemic crisis.

The awards will be presented live from a studio by Leigh Cowlishaw, Chair of the Judges and Joint Managing Partner of business travel consultancy Black Box Partnerships, along with Bev Fearis, Editor of The Business Travel Magazine, and Kirsty Hicks, Publisher and Commercial Head Business Travel at BMI Publishing.

“Although we’re sad not to be presenting the awards in person this year, we hope that many of our colleagues in the industry will tune in on Friday to join us in celebrating the amazing talent,” said Bev Fearis.

“It’s been a challenging year for the whole industry but this will be an opportunity to take some time to remember what makes this industry so special – its amazing people. All of the winners, and all those who made it through to the finals, deserve to get this moment to shine. We look forward to seeing you on Friday.”
