The Japanese Government has confirmed that it will lift remaining Covid-related entry restrictions from May 8.
At present, all arriving passengers are required to show proof of three doses of a Covid vaccine or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.
Stringent restrictions have been in place in Japan since February 2020 but were eased slightly in March 2022.
From May 8, Covid will be categorised as a ‘common disease’ in Japan.
