Japan Airlines is participating in trials with three digital health credential apps – CommonPass, VeriFLY and IATA Travel Pass.
The airline is fast-tracking trials to prepare for early adoption of digital health passes, which store information such as Covid-19 test results and destination entry requirements.
Trials of CommonPass have already begun on select domestic routes and on a flight to Singapore.
VeriFly trials will start later this month on select flights between Japan and North America, while JAL will trial the IATA Travel Pass on certain international flights in May.
