Changes to the ITM Board were announced by ITM Chair Gemma King in the opening session of the association’s SpringBoard Conference taking place in Brighton this week.
Four members have left the Board after coming to the end of their term – Stuart Winstone, SilverDoor, Natalie Gardner, Electronic Arts, Cristina Chimenti, Sky, and Ian Spearing, Arcadis.
Replacing them are Claudia Jackson, BCD, Matthew Pancaldi, Hertz, Audrey Muir, Ballie Gifford & Co., and Michael Funnell, Barclays.
ITM celebrates its 70th anniversary this year and CEO Scott Davies took a look back at its history with the help of Tom Stone, Director, Global Travel Procrement, Sony Pictures Entertainment, who has attended 34 ITM conferences.
“ITM keeps at the cutting edge of what’s going on, and adapting to change, and helping its members adapt to change,” said Stone.
He said it had been a pleasure to watch the career development of friends and colleagues in the industry over the years.
Stone recalled when he joined ITM, at a time when it was compulsory to be interviewed for around an hour before being accepted.
The audience were shown photos of previous ITM Conferences with ‘Miss World’ type contests and performances from celebrities like Victoria Wood in 1978.
