How did you feel when your name was called?
A mix of delight and gratitude. It was of course wonderful to win an award and to be recognised by colleagues from my own industry but on top of that, the fact that employee welfare and company responsibility are now being recognised is really special. It took a lot of hard work to get to this point and I feel it’s just beginning.
What was the reaction of your family, friends and colleagues when you won the award?
Pretty much a unanimous “about time too”.
How has winning the award impacted your profile in the wider industry?
We are a very small fish in an enormous ocean so any elevation of our profile, Principal Rewards, and promoting employee welfare, for the good of both traveller and employer, is very welcome. Such a positive impact of any agency can only do wonders for the business travel industry and what we strive to achieve.
What advice would you give to anyone considering entering the awards?
Definitely go for it. The process is warm, friendly and seeks to drive to the point of the entrant’s purpose.
Where do you keep your award?
On a specially-built shelf in Head Office.
