Budget airline Wizz Air will begin flights from Edinburgh Airport this November, with four new routes to the Polish cities of Warsaw and Gdansk, Hungarian capital Budapest and Bucharest in Romania.
The Edinburgh to Warsaw route will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and there will be flights to Gdansk and Budapest on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Bucharest will be served twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
All routes are served by a young fleet of Airbus A320, A321 and A321neo aircrafts, which the airline says has the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger among its competitors.
With the addition of the new flights, Wizz Air now operates seven routes between Scotland and Eastern Europe. This includes services between Aberdeen and Gdansk, and Glasgow to Budapest and Katowice.
Wizz Air UK’s Managing Director, Owain Jones, says: “We’re delighted to announce new routes connecting Edinburgh with some of Central and Eastern Europe’s most dynamic cities, flying on-board one of Europe’s youngest, most efficient aircraft fleets.
"Offering unique cultural, architectural, gastronomic and nightlife experiences, our customers travelling to Budapest, Bucharest, Gdansk and Warsaw will also enjoy fantastic value-for-money - making pounds stretch further.”
Fares start from £16.99 one-way.
