A new nature-inspired lifestyle hotel is set to debut in central London. Situated in Marylebone, Treehouse London will feature 95 guest rooms, including 15 suites.
Interiors are designed to reflect the great outdoors, with quirky touches such as cuckoo clocks and sleeping bag throws. Every guest room is outfitted with organic cotton sheets, as well as locally-sourced bath and other products.
In keeping with the design, the hotel’s sustainable initiatives include using reclaimed wood, exposed rafters, and a robust composting and recycling program. It is also committed to reducing single-use plastics.
Guests can join resident horticulturalists for tours of local gardens, as well as attending local book clubs and poetry slams.
On-site dining includes Mexican penthouse restaurant, Toca Madera, serving traditional Mexican cuisine with a modern approach. The Nest, a rooftop bar, boasts 360-degree skyline views of central London, swings, cozy corners and stylish cocktail spots.
By the hotel check-in area on the 15th floor, there’s also a coffee and wine bar, Backyard, designed to feel like an actual treehouse, with exposed wood and branches.
The hotel has been developed by Sternlicht as a sister-brand to 1 Hotels and will be operated by Starwood Hotels.
“It’s really exciting to launch our first Treehouse Hotel in one of the greatest cities in the world,” says Starwood Capital’s Chair and CEO Barry Sternlicht.
“I believe Treehouse, with its unique philosophy and playful aesthetic, will introduce a new kind of hospitality experience to the London market—fun, witty, surprising, and as much a destination for visitors as it is a local hangout.”
