IHG reveals UK’s third voco hotel

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has unveiled its third voco hotel in the UK.

The voco Oxford Thames – previously operating as the Principal Oxford Spires – joins voco properties in Cardiff and Solihull.

The 104-room hotel was acquired in 2019 as part of IHG’s strategic partnership with Covivio to acquire 12 Principal and DeVere properties.

Every guest will experience the voco signature ‘come on in’ welcome, promising a swift and simple check in.

Guestrooms feature the voco design concept including bedding made from 100% recycled materials and amenities in oversized dispenser bottles.

British cuisine is served in the Conservatory restaurant, while facilities also include The Crusaders Bar and a health club and pool.

Located on the banks of the River Thames, the historic hotel is set in 30 acres of grounds and has a private jetty and a helipad.

“We are incredibly excited to be the third hotel in the UK to join the voco family,” says the hotel’s General Manager, Elle Garner.

“Voco is all about delivering a hosted guest experience alongside retaining the individuality of the hotel and its history.”
