Icelandair is due to launch a new seasonal route between Edinburgh and Reykjavik on September 12.
The route will operate either three or four times a week until April 12 2026 on Boeing 737-MAX8 aircraft. Icelandair already flies from Glasgow.
Icelandair president and CEO Bogi Nils Bogason said: “We are very excited to add Edinburgh to our network, particularly in our 80th year of flying from Scotland.
“Our network now spans more than 60 destinations, and travellers can make the most of their journey by taking advantage of our stopover programme, enjoying a stay in Iceland along the way.”
