YOTEL has announced its first hotel in Japan. Slated to open in 2024, YOTEL Tokyo will be located in the dining and shopping Ginza district and a 15-minute walk to Tokyo station. It will have 244 rooms, the brand’s signature robotic concierge YOBOT, motorised SmartBeds, and other touchless technologies. The hotel is part of the brand’s strategy to expand across key cities in Japan, including Sapporo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe, and also to roll out YOTELAir, its transit hotel concept, at key gateway airports and train stations.
Virgin Hotels, the luxury lifestyle hotel brand by Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, is now taking reservations for Virgin Hotels Glasgow for stays from December 1. Situated on the banks of River Clyde, the hotel will have 240 rooms across 15 floors, and four dining and drinking options including Commons Club, Virgin Hotels’ flagship restaurant and bar that acts as a modern-day social club, Highyard for entertaining, co-working and dining, the Funny Library Coffee Shop, and the late-night bar, Rocks.
Swire Hotels has signed a collaboration for a new luxury hotel in Tokyo under The House Collective brand, as part of a prestigious mixed used development. Set in the fashionable and vibrant neighbourhood of Shibuya, the as-yet unnamed House is due for completion in 2027 and will be the first hotel outside China for The House Collective.
