Global Travel Management unveils tools for finance sector

Global Travel Management (GTM) has introduced a new suite of tools specifically designed for the financial services industry.

Known as the Financial Travel Control Platform (FTCP), the sector-specific offering was created by the TMC to assist finance firms in addressing challenges regarding risk and compliance in business travel.

GTM has used its existing technology stack to package tools tailored to the current requirements of the financial sector. The FTCP is structured around five core pillars.

Policy and compliance control

This area provides pre-trip compliance tools, visa information and a ‘Brexit Counter’ to track the cumulative number of days spent by individuals within the Schengen Area.

Real-time risk visibility

This pillar uses GTM’s PinPoint tool to track employee locations and manage duty of care. It also includes Trip Risk Alerts regarding political developments, conflict and security, alongside the GTM App for real-time itinerary syncing.

Financial intelligence and audit

To turn travel data into actionable financial control, the platform offers Live Reports and GTM Online. This corporate self-booking tool allows customers to search, manage and book air, hotel, rail and ground transportation.

Executive travel experience

This section highlights tools intended to deliver seamless travel for high-value travellers, including access to UK Rail, GTM Taxis and GTM Online.

Sustainability and ESG reporting

Travel teams can use the platform’s carbon reports to manage the environmental impact of travel and support ESG reporting and net zero strategies.

GTM Managing Director Scott Pawley said: “We know that business travel is always changing, and now more than ever companies need the most up-to-data information, support and compliant products for their teams. This is particularly important in the financial services industry, and we believe that offering a sector-specific platform that really delivers will help and showcase what GTM can do.”
