Generation BTA Board welcomes three new members

Sarah Lee, Business Travel Consultant at arrangeMY, Nabila Najayi, Sales Development Representative at Wings Global Travel, and Izzie Mathews, Online Support Specialist at Take2Eton, have joined the Generation Board of the Business Travel Association (BTA).

The three were selected from 16 applications to fill the highly sought-after positions, which allow new members to represent their peers in bringing fresh ideas to BTA initiatives and the future of business travel.

The all-female intake comes after the BTA recently achieved a 50/50 gender balance on its Executive Board for the first time.

The BTA said this leadership diversity brings a broader range of views and ensures fair representation across the business travel industry.

Sarah Lee, who is particularly interested in sustainability and technology, said: “I am extremely proud to have got this opportunity to help be a part of the positive change within the travel industry. In this role I am hoping to contribute with my knowledge of the hotel sector and sustainability within corporate travel and how sustainable travel and hotels are the way forward.”

Nabila Najayi, who brings experience from hospitality and corporate travel, added: “I look forward to bringing fresh perspectives from my experience in travel management, collaborating with peers, and supporting innovation, talent development, and sustainable, traveller-focused solutions.”

Izzie Mathews is keen to bring a fresh perspective to the male-dominated travel technology sector, and said:”I joined the BTA Next Gen Board to contribute to the future of business travel by supporting innovation and smarter use of technology. I’m excited to collaborate with others and bring fresh perspectives to help shape what business travel looks like for the next generation.”

Helen Turner, Membership and Education Manager at the BTA, said: “Bringing new voices onto the Board is always exciting. Sarah, Nabila, and Izzie will bring fresh ideas and energy, strengthening the business travel community and helping shape the future of the industry. I look forward to working with them as they take on new projects and initiatives.”
