Freenow by Lyft, the European taxi app, is rewarding business travel through its new business traveller Cashback Programme campaign.
Every time an employee books a business trip using their business profile in the Freenow app, they can earn 5% cashback on the fare paid until December 31 2025. The cashback can be used against private rides, not for business trips, until the end of the year.
The programme is designed to turn everyday business travel into a perk without adding cost, admin or HR complexity for companies.
The cashback is automatically credited to the user’s account following the trip and can be used for private trips. The credit can be viewed in the app under ‘Vouchers & Credits’.
Increased to 5% for a limited period, the cashback promotion was previously 2% on each fare.
Freenow by Lyft can be used across more than 180 cities in nine European countries. Taxis, private hire vehicles, carsharing, car rental, e-scooters, e-bikes, e-mopeds and public transport can be accessed via the app.
Lyft acquired Freenow in July.
Daniel Barthuly, Head of Business Travel at Freenow by Lyft, said: “We designed our cashback programme to be the ultimate win-win. Employees get a tangible, personal reward for a ride they’re already taking for work and employers increase compliance with their travel programme. For the end of the year, we have increased the programme to 5%.”
