Danny O’Gorman has joined FREENOW as General Manager for the UK market, overseeing the company’s operations across the country.
With a focus on supporting and strengthening London’s black cab trade, O’Gorman brings a wealth of experience from his roles at FREENOW in Ireland, Amazon and Catawiki.
O’Gorman will oversee the expansion of FREENOW’s taxi services in major UK cities including London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Oxford.
Ensuring the taxi trade remains at the forefront of the EV transition, he will also collaborate with stakeholders and strengthen existing relationships with black cab drivers and taxi fleet owners.
A primary focus for O’Gorman will be on increasing ride demand, enhancing driver benefits and advocating for policies that protect the trade’s future while continuing to offer passengers a safe, convenient and reliable taxi service.
O’Gorman said: “I am honoured to take on this role at such a critical time for our taxi industry. Black cabs are not just an iconic part of London’s identity – they are a vital transport service that requires protection and support.
