FCM Travel has secured a new 10-year global travel management agreement with infrastructure, design and consultancy firm Arcadis.
It claims the decade long deal, which extends a relationship that began three years ago, is one of the longest contract renewals seen in the corporate travel sector.
It broadens the scope of services FCM provides to the company, bringing travel management, meetings and events, and consulting under a single global arrangement.
Arcadis operates in more than 25 countries and said the long-term agreement will support its efforts to streamline operations, strengthen supplier relationships and enhance support for its travelling workforce.
Melissa Elf, Global Managing Director FCM Travel, said the length of the agreement would allow both organisations to take a longer-term approach to innovation and programme development.
“Forward-thinking multi-national enterprises want a partner who will challenge the status quo and evolve with them,” she said.
“This level of commitment allows the implementation of a strategic, long-view innovation plan that isn’t possible within standard three-year cycles.”
The renewed contract will see Arcadis continue to use the FCM Platform, which provides access to predictive analytics and programme management tools. The company will also draw on FCM’s meetings, events and consulting expertise as part of the wider agreement.
Ian Spearing, Director of Travel at Arcadis, described the partnership as a strategic investment designed to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
“By working together, we’re able to deliver scalable, sustainable growth and streamline our operations to efficiently meet our clients’ evolving needs,” he said.
He also highlighted the broader role of travel within the business, noting that the travel function is increasingly viewed as a contributor to business value rather than simply a cost centre.
