The deadline for the 2025 Business Travel People Awards has been extended until 5pm on Friday March 21.
The prestigious awards recognise the achievements of individuals and teams in business travel whose professionalism and business excellence make them stand out from their peers.
Now in their 14th year, they showcase the industry’s finest talent at all stages of a career and across all business travel sectors.
Unlike other industry awards, they celebrate the people in the sector and not the brands, including those working in frontline or back-office functions who might not otherwise have the chance to be recognised.
Nominations are welcome from individuals and teams based in the UK or overseas and can come from colleagues, managers or from the candidate themselves.
A number of new categories have been introduced for this year, including two awards for individuals and teams working in sales and marketing roles.
Awards recognising achievements in sustainability and tech innovation now have separate categories for individuals and for teams, due to the high number of entries in previous years.
In addition to the Rising Star category, which is open to professionals aged 35 and under, there is a new award for Industry Newcomer of the Year, which is open to applicants of any age but who have only been in the business travel industry for up to three years.
For the first time, the recipient of the prestigious Industry Contribution Award will be chosen by the Judging Panel and will not require a submission.
Alongside the 21 categories, a Chair’s Award will be chosen from across all of the categories by the Chair of the Judges Panel, Leigh Cowlishaw.
All nominations must be backed up with evidence, such as videos or written testimonials from clients, partners or peers, and this will account for a third of the overall score.
An awards ceremony takes place on the evening of Tuesday September 30 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden.
