Emirates rejoins BTA after five years

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced that Emirates will rejoin the association as a partner, having left around five years ago to “pursue other strategies”.

But following the events over the last few years, Emirates felt now was the time to collaborate and rejoin the conversations to promote the value of travelling for business.

The airline’s environmental activities will help transform the future of business travel for both the traveller, environment and economy and will support the BTA’s industry campaign to reach net zero by 2050.

As partners of the BTA, Emirates will play an active part in the recovery and evolution of the business travel industry.

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Emirates back into the BTA Community and I look forward to them actively engaging with the travel management sector as we all emerge from a very difficult period.”

Richard Jewsbury, Divisional Vice President UK of Emirates, added: “We are pleased to be rejoining the influential BTA community and look forward to continuing to support the business travel industry, as the post pandemic recovery of the sector accelerates across our global network.”
