Emirates’ flying with summer retrofit programme

Emirates’ rolling retrofit programme is to see the introduction of eight more destinations served by Boeing 777s with upgraded cabins.

The aircraft are currently receiving a ‘nose-to-tail facelift’ and being brought into service every three weeks.

The new cabins will be introduced on flights to Lisbon, Hong Kong and Kolkata from June 1, July 15 and August 10 respectively.

Flights to the Maldives and Colombo will feature the upgraded interiors from June 1 and August 10.

Emirates will introduce its latest Business and Premium Economy cabins on Dublin flights from June 25.

For the first time, Premium Economy will debut on flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town, along with refreshed Business class cabins, from September 1.

London Stansted will receive its second daily service with new Boeing 777 interiors from June 1.

Emirates says by September its fleet of refurbished Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft will be flying to 44 cities on a timetable of over 379 weekly departures.
