What does it mean to you to win a 2024 Business Travel People Award?
The Business Travel People Awards have always been my favourite awards because they celebrate the amazing talent in our industry. I love going along and supporting not only my Clarity colleagues but all those who are shortlisted. To win the award for going above and beyond was a pretty great moment – especially since we know how prestigious these awards are.
Reading my colleagues’ comments and seeing their delighted reactions to my win made me feel that my work over the years had been recognised and I had made a positive impact on people.
How did you feel when your name was called?
Shocked, delighted and humbled.
What was the reaction of your family, friends and colleagues when you won the award?
They were incredibly happy for me. I received so many kind comments congratulating me on the award from friends, family and people I have worked with over the years. Their reactions gave me an even bigger smile.
How do you think winning the award will impact your profile in the wider industry?
I hope it will help to cement the sentiment across the wider industry that we must value our most important assets: our people and the great work they do each and every day.
What advice would you give to anyone considering entering the awards?
Go for it! You may think that you’re just doing your job, but there are plenty of times where people go above and beyond and it’s important to shout about it.
