Direct Travel has published its first Direct Impact Report, outlining how it is helping organisations better measure, manage and reduce the environmental impact of their travel programmes.
The report highlights the company’s work supporting clients with access to more accurate and granular emissions data through Thrust Carbon’s emissions measurement platform.
By integrating flight, hotel, rail and car hire emissions data into travel programmes, clients are gaining greater visibility of their travel footprint, helping them meet reporting requirements, inform policy decisions and support sustainability goals.
Direct Travel has also expanded access to sustainability insights within travel management programmes, enabling organisations to embed emissions data into everyday decision-making and make more informed travel choices.
Recognising growing demand for lower-carbon travel solutions, the company has strengthened partnerships across the aviation sector to improve access to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) options for corporate travellers.
Collaborations with suppliers including CFP Energy and Neste, alongside major airlines such as Delta Air Lines, are designed to help clients better understand emerging decarbonisation pathways and incorporate SAF into their sustainability strategies.
The report also highlights Direct Travel’s investment in technology, including its Avenir platform, which helps organisations make more informed travel decisions and build more sustainable and resilient travel and events programmes.
Jeroen Van Hest, SVP, Strategy Execution & ESG Lead, said: “Sustainability is not about perfection, but about helping our clients make informed, responsible business decisions through the insights, data and expertise we provide.”
Christal Bemont, CEO, added: “As sustainability expectations continue to evolve, we are focused on providing the tools, technology and industry partnerships that help clients better understand their travel impact and make more informed decisions for the future.”
The report also outlines Direct Travel’s investment in initiatives that encourage employee connection, support personal and professional development.
Roughly one in every six employees took part in volunteering initiatives last year, contributing to over 4,525 hours globally.
In addition, Direct Travel is also making significant progress on gender diversity, with women holding 50% of leadership positions across the organisation.
