Direct ATPI is to steer the UK and European roll-out of Avenir: Travel Edition, the “next-generation” travel platform powered by Spotnana that went live in the US last month.
It will introduce the platform in the second half of 2025, with full global rollout scheduled to happen throughout 2026.
Avenir: Travel Edition promises “a modern, open approach to managed travel, connecting every part of the journey in one seamless, end-to-end experience”.
Adam Knights, Regional Managing Director at Direct ATPI, said: “Avenir: Travel Edition is not just a platform, it’s a blueprint for the future of business travel. By combining powerful, modern technology with the high-touch service we’re known for, we’re delivering the agility, consistency, and intelligence global travel programmes demand today. This is about giving our clients a smarter way to manage travel no matter where in the world their people do business.”
Christal Bemont, CEO of Direct Travel, added: “This launch represents more than just technology, it’s a continuation of the strong partnership we’ve built with ATPI over the years. Together, we’ve taken everything we’ve learned from decades of serving global clients and channelled it into a platform that simplifies travel, delivers real-time insight, and supports travellers at every step. Avenir: Travel Edition is the result of that shared vision for a better global travel solution.”
Direct ATPI is a global travel management organisation formed in 2017 by UK-based ATPI and US TMC Direct Travel.
In April 2024, Direct Travel was purchased by Steve Singh, the founder of Concur, along with a group of investors in the Madrona Venture Group. Madrona had previously invested in group meetings and event platform Troop, expense management company Center, and Travel-as-a-Service platform Spotnana.
In July 2024 Singh launched Avenir, billed as Direct Travel’s state-of-the-art technology stack, designed to be the first open, end-to-end solution of its kind, bringing together Spotnana, Center and Troop.
Avenir: Travel Edition promises travel managers and organisations simplified global management, faster feature rollouts and a consistent traveller experience across regions.
It will offer clients content access across air, hotel, rail, and car – via GDS, direct NDC integrations and other supplier connections, using a modern user interface that enables fast, personalised bookings to drive higher adoption and reduce program leakage.
