CWT Solutions Group, the consulting arm of CWT, has introduced a new responsible travel consulting framework to help companies look beyond compliance and cost management to build more balanced travel programmes.
Under a new ECO framework – which stands for Employee Wellbeing, Climate Impact and Organisational Performance – CWT Solutions Group hopes to help companies design travel programmes that advance their ‘triple bottom line’.
The framework was piloted with a small group of clients and is now being offered as part of the group’s global consulting offer.
“With our new ECO framework, we’re layering employee wellbeing and environmental considerations onto our suite of consulting services which have traditionally focused on objectives like increasing compliance and lowering costs,” said Richard Johnson, Senior Director, CWT Solutions Group.
“Our aim is to help companies find the sweet spot between these different and sometimes conflicting priorities in their travel programs – and we’re providing them with a roadmap to get there.”
Françoise Grumberg, Vice President, Global Responsible Business and Diversity & Inclusion, added: “The Covid-19 pandemic has further focused customer priorities on employee safety and wellbeing and, with our ECO approach, we are offering them a clear and structured way to do this.”
As part of the new initiative, CWT Solutions Group has partnered with Atmosfair, an independent non-profit organisation, to develop a “highly accurate and granular” methodology to calculate CO2 emissions.
