CWT has added new natural language capabilities, instead of keyword-based phrases, to help travel managers search and analyse travel data.
By asking questions, such as ‘What were the average CO2 emissions for international flights taken by travellers in the UK last year?’ or ‘What percentage of our London-Paris journeys are done by rail?’, information that might usually take hours to find will be provided in minutes.
Users can also stipulate how they would like the information to appear, for example in a bar chart, graph or table.
The AI technology is powered by ThoughtSpot and has been integrated into CWT’s Analytics business intelligence and reporting solution.
Analytics can also quickly identify unexpected changes in the data, for example a drop in online adoption rates or an increase in carbon emissions.
The AI-generated summary suggests possible causes of the change and the overall impact on KPIs, so the user can act accordingly.
Erica Antony, CWT’s Chief Product Officer, said: “By enabling natural language queries, we simplify the process of uncovering critical insights, allowing businesses to make informed decisions swiftly and confidently. This enhancement underscores our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive value for our clients.”
