There’s also a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa pool and a state-of-the-art gym with stunning views across the surrounding countryside. Once you’ve tired yourself out with all those activities, there’s a comfortable lounge, restaurant and bar to relax in.
THE DINING EXPERIENCE: From lite bites to banqueting, the food here is excellent. When it comes to Sunday roasts, I believe they are the best you’ll find anywhere. Typical starters include whitebait or melon and ham – both superb. The beef was simply perfect – pink, tender and flavoursome – and accompanied by a range of exquisitely-presented vegetables. Desserts like sticky toffee pudding, chocolate brownie, knickerbocker glory and ice creams provide the perfect finish. Notably, though, the ambiance is friendly and cosy. The clientele is an interesting cross-section of society from sport freaks to families to empty-nesters. The service was impeccable.
FOR CORPORATES: This is a great venue for a wide range of day event possibilities. The team here prides itself on creating bespoke packages for each client in order to achieve tailor-made golf days, company staff days and other events.
