Click Travel has confirmed that its CEO Jill Palmer has “decided to leave to pursue the next chapter of her career”.
Palmer joined the TMC eight years ago as Operations Director and was promoted to CEO in July 2015.
In a statement from the company, Palmer said: “This is a difficult period for business travel but I am leaving Click in the best shape to meet the challenges and to continue its growth trajectory into the future. Working with my colleagues at Click has been tremendously enjoyable and I wish all of them the best for the future.”
On LinkedIn Palmer said she was “sad to be saying goodbye to the wonderful Click team” but “super excited about the future”, and in the meantime was taking the opportunity to join the vaccination volunteer workforce, working some shifts in mass vaccination centres in the Midlands.
“I feel privileged to be able to be a small part of the national effort to beat the virus,” she said.
James McLean, Click Travel Co-founder, is taking over as CEO.
He said: “I would like to thank Jill on behalf of the Board for her significant contribution over the last eight years and wish her all success in her future career.”
