Clarity awarded accessibility accreditation

Clarity has received an accessibility accreditation from the Digital Accessibility Centre.

The WCAG 2.2 level AA accessibility standards were awarded to the TMC’s propriety technology, ClarityGo.

ClarityGo was also featured in The Business Travel Magazine’s 2024 Tech Hotlist earlier this year.

The Digital Accessibility Centre stated: “ClarityGo underwent both a technical compliance audit and robust end-to-end testing by users with a wide range of disabilities including blind, low vision, dyslexia, colour blindness, mobility impairments, learning difficulties, Deaf, ASD and anxiety and panic disorder.

“All testing is carried out in line with relevant platform specific guidelines, and where applicable, conforms with The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. Testing also conforms to Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)”.

Sue Chapman, Executive Director for Product and Commercial at Clarity, added: “We identified an opportunity to take direct control of our development roadmap, creating a bespoke solution tailored to our customers’ specific needs and challenges — something that traditional technology approaches couldn’t achieve.

“To realise this vision, we partnered with DataArt, a trusted and experienced technology partner, to build ClarityGo from the ground up. This collaboration, combined with our in-house development teams, has enabled us to remain agile at every turn. Ensuring our technology is accessible to every user has been a primary focus of our roadmap.”
