Climate tech company CHOOOSE has partnered with bp to expand its lower carbon product solutions for the aviation sector.
The collaboration is set to help airlines with a variety of decarbonisation initiatives, including meeting the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) compliance obligations.
Scaling sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) initiatives with advanced digital solutions is also on the agenda.
CHOOOSE is seeking to build on its digital “one-stop shop” for aviation’s carbon needs.
Airlines and air freight companies can currently use its technology platform to centrally manage the diverse components of their decarbonisation journeys, such as multi-faceted SAF programmes, emission calculations and reporting and compliance obligations.
Andreea Moyes, Sustainability Senior Manager at Air bp, said: “This partnership strengthens our ability to support customers in areas such as CORSIA compliance and to explore pathways to scaling sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) programmes.
“I am looking forward to working with an established industry partner such as CHOOOSE, as well as drawing on the wider expertise of colleagues across bp, to further support the aviation industry’s decarbonisation ambitions.”
Joseph Beaudin, Chief Customer Officer at CHOOOSE, added: “CHOOOSE builds software to help large enterprises manage the increasing complexity of their decarbonisation programmes.
“This partnership integrates bp’s industry leading supply of lower carbon products into the CHOOOSE platform, enabling CHOOOSE to expand the range of compliance-related and voluntary products offered, and to deliver more seamless experiences for our customers.”
