BTA conference heads to Benidorm

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has confirmed its Autumn Conference 2026 will take place at the Meliá Villaitana, close to Benidorm on Spain’s Costa Blanca.

Business travel leaders, suppliers, TMCs and innovators will gather at the four-star hotel from September 27-29 for two days of debates, strategic discussions, networking events and “a chance to enjoy the Spanish sunshine”.

The hotel is designed like a Spanish village and has two golf courses, a lake pool, artificial beach, six swimming pools, football fields, paddle tennis courts, a gym and a YHI Spa.

Clive Wratten, CEO of the BTA, said: “We are thrilled to be heading to sunny Spain for what promises to be our most engaging conference yet.

“The Meliá Villaitana provides the perfect backdrop to network, learn, and enjoy some well-earned downtime.”

The event will centre around the theme #LetsMakeItWork, building on last year’s #LetsGetToWork theme, which challenged outdated misconceptions of today’s business traveller.

The #LetsMakeItWork theme will argue that bringing TMCs and their supplier partners into genuine dialogue can help the industry move from identifying problems to agreeing the practical steps needed to solve them.

A keynote panel will explore the trends and challenges in business travel and how the industry is addressing them while workshops will see experts share real case studies with practical solutions and interactive panels.

The conference will begin on a Sunday evening with a relaxed evening networking event, followed by a day and a half of conference content.

Flights are available from London Gatwick, London Stansted, and Manchester, supported by easyJet and Jet2.

Registration is now open, with early bird rates available. The package includes flights, two nights’ accommodation, full delegate access, and networking events.

Advantage Travel Partnership held its overseas conference at the Meliá Villaitana in 2023.
