Beaverbrook, the luxury country house hotel in the Surrey Hills, is to open its first London property in partnership with Cadogan.
The hotel is due to open in summer 2021 after a £25 million restoration of two Georgian townhouses on Sloane Street in Chelsea.
Beaverbrook Town House will have 14 luxury suites, a gourmet Japanese restaurant and bar and will serve as an outpost of its existing luxury hotel and golf club near Leatherhead, which opened in 2017.
Suites will be styled and named after London theatres and are being designed by Nicola Harding, who designed the Rose hotel in Deal and the Mitre in Hampton Court.
Cadogan Chief Executive Hugh Seaborn said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Beaverbrook, having selected them to operate this exciting hospitality opportunity on Sloane Street.
“We are working closely with Beaverbrook to create a timeless, English luxury hotel and restaurant in the heart of Chelsea to further expand the hotel, food and drink offering in the area, all of which contribute to the rich tapestry of uses that make this such a compelling destination.”
Cadogan already manages 93 acres of Chelsea and Kensington property, including the Belmond Cadogan Hotel, the first Hotel Costes outside of Paris and 11 Cadogan Gardens, part of the Iconic Luxury Hotel collection.
