BA drops three US routes this winter

British Airways has dropped three routes from Heathrow to the US for the winter season, just months after they resumed.

It is no longer running winter flights to Nashville, Baltimore and New Orleans, which were all re-introduced at the end of 2021, although all three services are due to restart in the summer.

Flights to New Orleans will return on April 26, Baltimore on May 2 and Nashville on May 9.

BA blamed the pandemic for the changes, saying: “Like other airlines, due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic we are operating a reduced and dynamic schedule.

“We apologise to customers whose travel plans are disrupted. Where a customer’s flight is cancelled, we always contact them to offer options including a full refund.

“Customers who are unable to travel, or choose not to, can also continue to change their flights or request a voucher for future use as part of our Book with Confidence policy, which has been available since the beginning of the pandemic.”
