British Airways has relaunched its winter service between London Gatwick and Cape Town, with flights going on sale this week.
It will operate three services a week on the route from December 13 to March 25 March 2023.
Flights from Gatwick will operate on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evenings at 8.30pm, returning on Wednesday, Saturday and Monday evenings at 8.10pm.
The return of the service was confirmed as BA’s parent, IAG, reported its first operating profit since the start of the pandemic.
IAG made €293 million (around £245m) in the three months to the end of June, compared to a loss of nearly €1 billion in the same period last year.
The group, which also includes Iberia and Aer Lingus, said its passenger traffic had recovered to 78% of pre-Covid levels, but said business travel is still lagging behind leisure traffic.
