Avis Budget Group has acquired McNicoll Vehicle Hire, a specialist in the car and van rental sector operating in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
The move will see Avis Budget Group grow its footprint in Scotland, where the company has a long history of operations across several locations including the latest opening Glasgow Central train station.
Avis Budget UK will retain the McNicoll team, which will continue to build and maintain relationships with the Scottish customer base.
