The new lounge has seating for 142 people and has been designed to “offer passengers a stylish, comfortable and tranquil start to their journey”.
It has separate areas for business and family passengers, runway views, private bathrooms and décor and artwork featuring iconic scenes of the city.
Passengers can pay for access to the lounge regardless of the airline – or cabin – they are travelling with and it is also available to Priority Pass members.
It is the second Aspire Lounge at Edinburgh Airport, with the original opening in July 2014 and set for a complete refurbishment beginning in February 2020.
“We’re excited to unveil our new Aspire Lounge at Edinburgh Airport – the first to showcase our brand-new design for our lounges worldwide,” says Sharon Jevans, Lounges Director at developer Swissport.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport, adds: “We’re delighted that we’re the first airport to be home to Aspire’s new look lounge as they begin to roll it out across the world.
“It looks excellent and has already received great feedback from passengers who have had time to enjoy the new surroundings and relax ahead of their flights.”
