Advito teams up with SQUAKE for carbon emissions tracking

Advito has partnered with SQUAKE to offer precise carbon emissions tracking for air travel.

The corporate travel consultancy has integrated its ISO-certified GATE4 emissions methodology into SQUAKE’s carbon management platform.

GATE4 air emissions figures will be displayed in the booking flow of online booking tools.

This data will influence purchase decisions and be used as the basis for carbon reduction, removal and avoidance projects — including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) — or carbon tax calculations directly at the point of sale.

SQUAKE clients can address emissions with over 150 curated carbon projects, such as direct air capture or SAF, available for purchase directly during the booking process. Emissions reporting based on GATE4 data will also be available.

Julien Etchanchu, Senior Director of Sustainable Collaboration at Advito, said: “This partnership with SQUAKE is a key step in making our GATE4 methodology more widely accessible, allowing travel managers and businesses to integrate highly accurate air travel emissions data directly into their booking processes.

“By leveraging SQUAKE’s technological capabilities, we are democratising access to reliable sustainability data, enabling companies to make informed and impactful travel decisions.”

SQUAKE founder Dan Kreibich added: “Integrating GATE4 into our platform offers a high standard of accuracy in emissions reporting, which is crucial for businesses committed to sustainability.

“This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to provide scalable and effective tools for managing the carbon footprint of business travel.”
