Corporate travel consultancy Advito has teamed up with Tripkicks to launch Carbon Footprints, a solution that promises to “revolutionise” the way corporate travel emissions are measured, managed and communicated to travellers.
Key features of Carbon Footprints include:
- Year-to-date emissions totals where travellers can view dynamic calculations of air emissions based on actual trips. If they’re trending up compared to last year, a red arrow appears along with the current increase, a green arrow appears if it’s trending down.
- Relatable equivalencies where data is contextualised using comparisons such as “equivalent to driving X miles” or “attending X hours of video conferencing calls”.
- An optional expanded functionality which shows travellers real-time tracking towards an individual budgeted CO2e amount for the year.
Designed as a turnkey solution, the platform doesn’t require any additional setup or third-party integration for clients already using Tripkicks.
Developed in collaboration with Bloomberg, the integration is powered by Advito’s GATE4 methodology and is available as a Tripkicks Connection, built to work alongside the existing GATE4 Connection.
It has been enhanced to highlight the best supplier for a given flight itinerary based on fuel efficiency, as well as to promote rail options on relevant routes, giving travellers the tools they need to make more informed decisions at the point of booking.
“For the first time, travellers can see how their actions have an impact on emissions when they are making travel booking decisions,” said Julien Etchanchu, Senior Director of Advito’s Sustainable Collaboration Practice.
“This collaboration with Tripkicks educates employees and gives organisations a simple, effective way to bridge the gap between sustainability metrics and traveller behaviour.”
