Advito data points to ‘two-speed travel market’

Premium cabins continue to outperform economy cabins, reinforcing a “two-speed travel market tied to corporate demand”.

This was one of the key findings from the latest Travel Price Index from Advito, the consulting division of BCD Travel.

The Index, published today, is based on year-on-year comparisons of average fares available in the GDS in November 2025 for departures in the first quarter of 2026.

It says airlines are holding fares steady while boosting revenue, not from broad fare increases but increasingly due to their premium cabin strategies, ancillary products, advanced pricing algorithms, and reduced contracted discounts.

In Europe, fares are expected to rise slightly this year, particularly in premium cabins, with margins stable and capacity limited.

In response, corporates are being advised to use advanced analytics to benchmark fares, monitor market trends, and forecast pricing to identify savings opportunities proactively.
