Advantage Conference pushed back for second time

The Advantage Travel Partnership has postponed its annual conference until 2022 due to the uncertainty around the opening up of international travel and green list destinations.

The event, which was due to take place on May 21-24 at the Savoy Palace Hotel in Madeira, will now be held on April 29-May 2 2022 at the same location.

An announcement said: “Whilst we are very disappointed that we have to cancel our event for the second year in a row, we feel the current uncertainties around vaccine passports, testing requirements and restrictions means we simply do not have a choice.

“We remain committed to bringing back our event in 2022 at the same location with top-quality content, fantastic speakers and lots of great networking opportunities for our delegates.”

Nuno Vale, Executive Director for the Madeira Promotion Bureau, added: “Although we are disappointed the current pandemic does not allow us to receive the Advantage Conference this year, Madeira will be welcoming all The Advantage Travel Partnership members and partners with open arms next year.

“We believe that this will be even a better opportunity to explore brand new avenues in our partnership and work together for a brighter future for the British travel industry and Madeira islands touristic destination.”

Advantage said while it can’t currently travel overseas, it will be holding a series of events across the UK from July to November.
