Access Bookings walked away with three awards in the 2025 Business Travel People Awards.
Its DEI Taskforce was voted Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champion, its Sustainable Taskforce was named Sustainability Champion – Team, and its TV Project Team, Access Bookings was named TMC Above and Beyond – Team.
We spoke to Business Development Manager Laura Slater.
What did it mean to you to win three 2025 Business Travel People Awards?
Winning a Business Travel People Award was an incredible honour in itself, but to win three on the same night was truly amazing! It was a real testament to the passion, dedication and innovation our teams bring to the company every day. These awards validate our commitment to sustainability, inclusivity and generally going above and beyond for our clients.
How did you feel when your team name was called?
Hearing our name announced was surreal. Recognising the calibre of those shortlisted for the awards, we were incredibly grateful to make the list, let alone to be so successful on the night!
What was the reaction of your family, friends and colleagues when you won the award?
The response was overwhelming! Our colleagues were cheering in the room, and those at home were frantically refreshing the winners feed. Since the news has come out, the industry has been flooding us with congratulations. The entire team was incredibly proud and shocked. So much of the work we do spans multiple teams, and everyone deserves the thanks and validation the award represents. It’s been heartwarming to see how much this recognition means to everyone connected to Access Bookings.
How do you think winning the award will impact your company’s profile in the wider industry?
Sustainability, diversity, and exceptional service are the foundations of everything we do. As we continue to grow, we hope this opens the doors for more collaboration and innovation across the industry. We’re excited to see where this path leads and how we can inspire others to join us.
What advice would you give to anyone considering entering the awards?
These are the Business Travel People Awards, and they really do celebrate the people who make our industry so vibrant. If you’ve made a difference, share your story. These awards are a perfect platform to celebrate the unsung heroes in our industry and give your teams the recognition they deserve.
Where are keeping your award?
I should be keeping them in the fridge, because that’s where we keep all the cool stuff! In all seriousness, they are on display in our reception, reminding us of the teamwork that earnt them.
