2024 People Awards winners revealed

The winners of this year’s Business Travel People Awards were announced at a glittering ceremony in London last night.

The awards, now in their 13^th year, recognise outstanding individuals and teams in business travel and are judged by an esteemed panel of industry experts, many of whom joined the celebrations at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden.

Winners and highly commended in the 20 categories were presented their awards in front of a lively crowd of nearly 300 guests.

Opening the ceremony, the awards organiser and Publisher of The Business Travel Magazine, Kirsty Hicks, said: “This is by far my favourite night in the industry calendar, a time to celebrate the achievements of our industry’s finest talent.

“We had more entries than ever this year and, as always, the competition was tough, so being a finalist is a huge achievement. Well done to all of you.”

Cabin crew from Platinum sponsor Virgin Atlantic added a fun flight theme throughout the evening from a jump seat on the stage while Direct ATPI sponsored the welcome drinks and offset travel to and from the awards for all guests.

Clarity team members walked home with three awards. Account Manager Jake Lawley was named Rising Star and Donna Fitzgerald, Executive Director Business Travel, was voted TMC Above and Beyond Individual. Clarity’s meetings and events arm, Brighter Events, won Meeting and Events Team of the Year.

Inntel’s people also won three awards. Nicola Meredith won Account Manager of the Year while the Sales and Business Development Team of the Year title went to its Business Development Team, headed by Kilianne Clegg. The Industry Contribution Award was presented to Sian Sayward.

ATPI celebrated a double win when its Partnerships Team won Account Management Team of the Year and Camilla Tuzemen, Global Digital Optimisation Manager, was named Shining Star.
